Artwork Featured in Love happens magazine - Top bespoke luxury interior design services 31-07-2022 Wild Summer Hollyhocks, 150 x 150 x 3 cm oil and enamel on canvas. Wild Summer Hollyhocks, tall and straight, reaching ever skyward like Icarus toward the sun, flowering faces bathed in sunlight. Inspired by roadside wildflowers, the beautiful Hollyhock is the subject of this painting. I wanted to capture the wild beauty of an urban patch of ground, the tangled grass and opportunistic flowers vying for life. Dazzling in their overlooked splendour Wild Summer Hollyhocks had to be more than beautiful flowers. I wanted to convey the struggle for survival, the defiance and the beauty of nature. Created in an expressionist style, dripped and thrown paint creates a wild undergrowth of plant life while delicate impressionist floral details contrast beautifully against the chaos. It is ready to hang.

Angie Wright is a contemporary Portuguese painter renowned for her dynamic floral landscapes that embody the vibrant “Dopamine Decor” philosophy. Rooted in the belief that bold color can spark joy, elevate energy, and inspire happiness, Angie’s work reimagines how art can transform spaces and uplift the soul. Her vibrant palette and expressive compositions fill environments with visual excitement, bringing warmth and positivity to everyday life. Over the past decade, Angie has exhibited at prestigious venues, including The Ferens Gallery in Hull (2010), The Swiss Art Expo in Zurich (2021), and NYC Art Expo (2023). She has been a top-ten seller at Paris Gallery, Singulart. Her work has been featured in “Artists and Illustrators Magazine” (June 2017), “Tomorrow Magazine” (May 2023), and “Snapshot” (May 2024) and was selected by designer Stephanie Williams for the BBC in 2018. Her recent work, collected in over 25 countries, merges realism with expressionism to immerse viewers in floral landscapes that evoke themes of hope, renewal, love, and strength. Author, magazine editor, and artist Alyson Sheldrake praised Angie’s work, stating: “Bold, bright brushstrokes sweep across the canvas to create breathtaking and mesmerizing images full of joy and vitality.” Angie’s art doesn’t just depict flowers; it creates experiences that radiate optimism. Each piece serves as a radiant sanctuary, a burst of color designed to transform spaces and lift spirits, reflecting the powerful connection between beauty, color, and emotional well-being.
