ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I created this piece using both heavy body acrylic paint and pouring paint, glitter, confetti and adhesive. I used to live on acreage out in the country and I loved the Spring time because the wild flowers would bloom and the fields by my house were breath taking. I no longer live in that house and I miss it terribly so I paint wildflowers whenever I'm feeling homesick. The bright colors and bling cheer me up every time.

I was born and raised in Katy, TX and still reside in the Houston area. I've had an affinity for all forms of art for as long as I can remember but didn't really dive in until 2013. I started with canvas pieces and then added furniture and murals to my portfolio. I love trying new mediums and techniques but I do a lot of acrylic on canvas. I am self-taught so I know that I've got a lot to learn and always welcome a challenge. I paint for myself, sometimes as an emotional outlet and sometimes just to pass the time, so my style and subject matter have a wide range but my goal is always to create something that will spark joy.
