I’m Olga Rybalko, a Ukrainian-Canadian artist with a passion for storytelling through art. I was born in Sevastopol, Ukraine, and raised in Vancouver, Canada, and my work reflects this mix of cultural influences. I began by painting landscapes and cityscapes, but over time, I’ve been drawn more and more to narrative art that aims to connect with viewers on an emotional level. My recent exhibitions, "Crimea" (2021) and "Unwritten Chapters" (2024), reflect this shift in my focus. "Crimea" explores the personal and historical stories of my homeland, while "Unwritten Chapters" engages with universal human experiences and untold stories. Both projects allowed me to blend visual beauty with deeper storytelling, and it’s important to me that my work resonates beyond the canvas. In my art, I use light, color, and composition to encourage viewers to reflect on their own stories and experiences. I hope that each piece offers something meaningful, creating space for people to connect on both personal and shared levels.
