Art Description

Painting: Acrylic and Gesso on Canvas.

This is a piece from the "Moment" Series. Below is the artist statement for the series.
Moment – A realization
A moment of clarity, the truth, when the facts are combined with abstract thinking and they come into focus, eureka! The self is awakened. That is what each of these images represents. Sometimes finding the answer, just as with finding the composition, can take deep, intense concentration, or it just comes in an instant. The process of arranging these images - mirror the process of formulating the answer. The parts of the painting such as one translucent square shape can represent a thought. A solid opaque shape can represent a fact. The gesso background can represent time. As the thoughts and facts connect and overlap each other the answer becomes clear. The “Moment - A realization.”
