About The Artwork
This mixed media painting is on 150gsm matte Art paper and is unframed. It is part of a limited series of 4, each unique yet with similar characteristics. I work intuitively as an artist, responding to colours and textures in layers. This piece started with large expressive scribbles in ink and progressed through layers with graphite and pastel. Areas were then blocked in, hidden or veiled in acrylic paint with details such as scratches and paint dots bringing it to completion. The title comes from music I was listening to at the time. I believe music inspires what I do in the studio and becomes part of the resulting works.
