ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My inspiration came from the myth of Icarus, even though the piece does intentionally reflect or depict the myth, it uses it to depict the ambition of man at its highest. The will to be free, unchained, the ambition to "have" wings. The composition is somewhat vertical, with big contrasts of black and white. The texture is smooth and soft. Enamel is used to reflect the nature of modern society, industrial, pre made. Please note that the dimension's are for a unframed work, framed will be smaller by approximately 5 - 6 cm on each side.
