ABOUT THE ARTWORK
These particular works are part of a series of works I am currently working on which focuses on the theme of the increasing plastification of our society. With this I mean the ongoing impersonalisation of social relationships and the ongoing detachment and disconnection of what is happening around us. In ‘Wish I was Here’ I attempt to highlight notions of personal exclusion by emphasising concepts of ‘the abstract world’ and ‘the plastic life’ through its composition, materials and concept.
