About The Artwork

Usually i'm not satisfied with my work, but this one, i like. It was some years back, when we had a really cold winter- and i had no winter shoes- but there was an enormous ammount of snow, and i've decided that i'll have to go out to witch island, and do some studies. I was out there for two hours, my shoes got wet in the minute i've stepped into the ten inch-thick snow- but it worth it. I've got a lot of very nice drafts, but only managed to paint three of them; from that, i've destroyed two out of frustration, becouse i felt they wer insufficient attempts to give back the feeling of the winter landscape. But this one turned out all right, one of the few i like. It has some issues- i was on the begining of my journey back then- but i think it'll look well over a fireplace or something.

I always wanted to be a writer. How did i end up with paining? It's simple- i had no inspiration in writing. So i went to the teachers training, and there they asked me: "Okay, exactly what do you want to teach?" I had no idea by then, so i choose "Arts&Crafts", becouse that sounded like fun. It turned out pretty soon, that it IS fun, indeed. I graduated as an art teacher; with awful drawing and painting skills, but with a lot of enthusiasm. I went to Szeged, became a teacher, and while i was busy teaching pupils, i was working on my own skills as well. Paining is fascinating. I like to do it- i like it even more than teaching. The process of creation, the preservation of the moment and sight; i want to do this for the rest of my life. So i'm into landscapes now, but also, i want to learn portrait painting/drawing; we'll see if i can come up anything you're interested in. I will try, for sure :)
