“I use painting as a vehicle of emotionality. I use it as a medium to express forces of the unconscious and the instinct to build scenes, figures or objects that refer to an immaterial world of symbolic situations. The objects and beings of our usual cosmos are the actors in these stories. From our perceptions, based on categories, I choose the elements that come full of meaning; those, such as a room, a table, a human body or an animal, deeply inside our psyche. In the abstraction process, the being loses its quality of concretion, and becomes possible to talk about its metaphysical quality instead of its physical condition. The law of this game is to use the object, break it, see what it contains, spill it, merge it with others, create signs, be new, primary and of course unique at that moment and circumstance”.
