Woman in Water was created in 2024. It is an oil painting from the heart. I had no intentions when I began and no path to follow. The brush strokes came one after the other to complete it. Each viewer will think differently. I know how I feel about this painting, I hope you feel the same. I began painting in March 2024, beginning in Acrylics. I was a little scared of oils but soon ventured into them, to challenge my ability. Unique piece. Signed. Oil on canvas board. Original size unframed: 30x30cm Complete with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Unique 1/1

Janice Clements ABIPP ICA Janice Clements (Alamanou) specialises in Fine Art Painting and Photography. Over 20 years as a professional photographer, in 2024 Janice decided she wanted a new challenge and expanded her media to paintings - her passion to create with honesty 'real' art. She began with acrylics as she felt slightly afraid of oils at the start, but soon ventured into oil painting. She is now painting and developing her skills to find where and how her art will develop. She describes her change of media as 'wanting to create something real'. By this she means not digital. Her love of photography still remains but as in her photography, every element of the image Janice photographed, she now wants the collector to know that with her paintings, she thought of and created every part of the painting. Janice began photography capturing at the age of 12 images published in the book ‘A Personal Account of Time & Tide’ - an insight into the destruction and devastation of tidal surges on the North Norfolk Coast, including her home - twice. Her passion for photography flowed into adulthood where the depiction of coastal scenes began to expand to include people, portraiture and fine art nudes. On first becoming professional she tried many different paths, weddings - published in magazines, family portraiture, commercial and product photography - all gaining her skills and experience but she was always drawn back and found fine-art the most fulfilling. She now specialises only in Fine Art - her images include ‘Landscape’ with her award winning ‘The White Collection’ and her unique original ‘Photography with Precious Metals’, hand gilded with 24ct gold, palladium and copper. Also ‘Street’ and ‘Portraits of Interest’ - images that intrigue her with difference or meaning. The ‘Soul Elements’ collection, the natural step from her passion with environment and people, comprise of Janice’s photographs amalgamated together - everything within the piece is photographed by her - making the piece unique to her work. Each, having subtle meaning for the viewer to interpret. I create my photography from life experiences. I stop to 'breathe in' what is in front of me and how I wish to portray it. My style varies because of this and also because of what might be happening in my own life at the time and how this affects my interpretation and creation of the piece. I use a mixture of beauty with sorrow. Using only images unique and created by myself.
