This work expresses the need for freedom at all level especially for women. This painting was inspired by the struggles women encounter in their marriage especially in Nigeria. Most women are enslaved by marriage.. They look for ways to break free but our society condemns divorce they stigmatise those that finally break free from such marriages that constantly keep them in depression. The painting is an image of fifty women who dare to say no and rise above this traditional norms. Hence the name women arising
