Year of the Tiger Painting

My name is Alice Man. I'm an artist, textile artist. I paint on textiles and express my vision of Decorative and Applied Art. I specialize in painting a large textile canvases especially on textile like cotton, linen, and sometimes on synthetic fabrics. I also love to do my artworks by imposing painted layers at each other and at the end of a completed composition sew embroidery, beads, patches, and other things for more interesting and fresh details. If you read my statement, you can understand my artwork. As you can see in my gallery I'm a floral lover and one of the important things in my art is it should have a lot of meanings in one artwork. I take inspiration for my artworks from my inner fairy tale(it’s my daily feelings about the world, also feelings after meditation, and my daily dreams), and also I found India as a greater inspiration platform with all that rituals and all that spiritual things you know what I mean(I never have been in India but I love that vibe) Sometimes I may paint a picture to express how I feel, and sometimes I paint a picture to find an answer to my questions, and always art supports and helps me with all my questions and that’s a blessing I think. Most of the time I can't describe what I'm painting at the beginning, but as soon as I put the finishing touches on it, I immediately get a sense of it. It is very important for me to absorb the atmosphere of the place I am in, the visual part, the audio part, the scents all around, all that is retained inside me, and when I am alone with my canvases it comes out.
