ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Movement, color, and value dominate the motivation and inspiration behind this painting. Sometimes, we abstract artists get a "jones" to see a color move around in front of us. Yellow is a challenge but when it works, it WORKS! It's is the liveliest of colors and embodies the spectrum, it instantly calls to us to look at it! The blacks and grays merely support the color. There is more black and gray in this painting than there is yellow, however the yellow dominates the painting.
