ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This picture is a part of the triptych "Yellow still lifes." This still life with coffee mill consists of items from my husband’s family. In particular, the coffee mill itself was brought from the city of Baku. Still life is full of sun. It will become an accent spot in your interior. The sides of the frame are painted red. There is no need to make a frame.

I am a Russian artist. I was born in Moscow. My love of art appeared unexpectedly. After years of a successful career in sociology and marketing I felt the need for another instrument to learn the world. The life is actually being more colorful to understand it only with the help of a scientific ruler. Now Art is life for me personally. It’s a fundamental part of my being, whether it's creating, looking or listening I need it as it’s an obsession. I think art is uniquely positioned to inspire, entice and engage people together. No matter where you look, you’ll find it. It’s the part of us that makes us human – The very act of self-expression, the very act of creating enriches our lives for the better. It’s the communication of intimate creations that cannot be faithfully portrayed by words alone. I use different mediums for different pieces, but oil is my favorite. I love nature, people, children and life with its unique moments. I like to draw water, flowers, children. Also, I like to draw still lifes. Perhaps this topic helps to reveal the mood. For me, painting is inextricably linked with my inner mood, weather, season, those thoughts that fill me at the moment. Each state prompts a color palette to transmit a mood. No need to be fixed on one initial idea. I prefer to have fun and freely enjoy the colors of my color palette. After all, painting is always a living state of the artist’s soul. My painting is a metaphysics that combines conventionality with super materiality. As a postmodern artist, I mix styles by playing with the viewer, causing it to reflect on the shards of great cultures. I super materialize "dead nature" on the one hand, and I often deliberately distort the perspective of objects on the second hand, thus linking them to the conventional space of the backgrounds. My paintings are in private collections in Russia, USA and Japan.
