About The Artwork
It’s a symbolic portrait of life as flowers in vase like Japanese ikebana. Only those flowers suggest life and death, so within the vitality of color yellow you find crow like black approaching the inevitable. My mixed media collage method is simple. I the early stage of work adding distressed fabric pieces or paper to get the imaginative process going. My hope for the viewers are to receive quietude like in viewing ikebana( Japanese traditional flower arrangement). So they can receive energy of the yellow/ life force.
