An ephemeral image of the figure in front of an abstract background which mimics marble or swirling water. The posture itself is about attaining balance and concentration on breathe. While the flowers depicted are Calla Lilies, meaning holiness, faith, rebirth and have become symbols of youth and purity. The intent through the lilies erupting from the figures abdomen was to draw lines to parenthood and divinity. There is a rich hue of color in this painting which creates a calming and peaceful effect in any room. My style is very personal as I draw from life experience but can be appreciated by anyone willing to let themselves indulge in the work. I enjoy working with Oil paints, they express a richness in color and texture as well as a beautiful finished effect. This painting series is inspired by my lifelong journey with Yoga. I have been practicing Yoga for over 20 years and gained much from the lifestyle. My hope is that viewers will discover a sense of tranquility and self awareness when viewing my Artwork and in some way surrender to the experience.

Singh’s style of creating Art draws from life experiences & the ethereal realm of ‘meditative abstraction’. Singh’s artwork incorporates a level of immersion that pulls the viewer into the world of his creation. Throughout his body of work Singh’s hand is present in every brush stroke, layered to form the tapestry which has been Singh’s journey with Art. After the loss of his father at age 16, Singh has found solace in creating Art, embracing nature and Yoga; oftentimes merging elements of each within his images. Singh’s work with Yoga has brought to life images which explore the relationship with nature in the physical and mental realms. Singh’s work explores the human condition. He believe we exist simultaneously on different planes and in turn affects the World around us. With influences from life experience and observation of humanity as a collective Singh creates imagery about the deeper levels of the subconscious.
