YOU ARE ARTIST! Acrylic on Canvas, 86x66cm, Brussels, 2019 The Doodle frame says: "You are artist Your life is the canvas You can paint whatever you want to paint" The book "the fifth agreement" by Don Miguel Ruiz and Don Jose Ruiz inspired this painting. Indeed the authors give a framework, based on Toltec wisdom on how to uncover who we are to live an easier, happier life. We are all born natural explorers and creators as we don't fear judgment yet but simply follow our instinct as it makes us happy. Then we start to talk and write, and the symbols we use for communication are loaded with values and norms that tell us who we ought to be and we lose the ability to align with our natural tendency. Once you master the simple steps of this book, you can uncover who you truly are, free from the fear of being judged, and become the artist of your life! This book helped me follow my dream and dare being artist full time (and not one single day did I regret my choice !), as I stopped being influenced by the opinions of others (about how risky it is and how being artist is not a profession). As I deeply knew I was in my element as an artist and as I diligently practiced the agreements, I had no fear, and here I am today! Again, I encourage more people read this, as the world will be a better place when we are in integrity with who we truly are individually. Indeed we won't feel frustrated, there would be no need to compare, we would all elevate and cooperate ! Through this artwork, I wanted to share this important message for humanity.
