Painted in different layers (6 to 9 layers) of colour, each coat of which is left to dry before the next is added, thus leaving the artist-monk long intervals to spend in meditation. The result gives richer, more brilliant and more subtle colors. And also gives more mystery and more depth to the atwork. Three paintings with one symbolic evolutive meaning : To discover the meaning It is necessary to look the three paintings in the following order: In the first place: the smallest one with the violet, then, the biggest with the red rose petal, then the third with two faces and pink rose. There is a graduation, a progress from the first one to the third. I leave to the spectator the care of discovering the meaning and the purpose, by opening only the attention on a number of details: First : progress in the representation of the faces. The first one is partially hidden by the arm, with almost closed eyes. The second is more visible, half-closed eyes. The third looks towards the sky, with open and meaning eyes. Second: evolution of the position of the hand, and also the position of the body. Third: evolution of the flower: first a violet hardly held by the stalk between two fingers, then a red rose petal in front which the hand goes without reaching it, and finally a very straight pink rose on its stalk. Fourth: in the first two paintings, there are two side: the internal plan and the outside plan, separated by the open window. In the third painting, there is only an outside. Fifth: in the first painting there is only the sea, in the second the sea and mountains, in the third: sea, mountain, sun, rocks, sand and shells.
