About The Artwork
São Paulo based artist, SAFE Art (b.1979) has been developing his unique style over the past years. Self-taught artist, he is heavily influenced by japanese woodblock prints, expressionist artists like Monet and Cézanne, in his early career. His favorite contemporary artists include Damien Hirst, Ai WeiWei, Yayoi Kusama and the famous german artist Gerhard Richter. Mixed media on canvas, painted with acrylic, charcoal and pastel, from the series "a women that I love much", inspired by a song of Cold Play "The Scientist". I kept listing the song over and over and was a very touched by the melody and lyrics.
