It's the portrait of a young Italian worker probably on his way to his job, already clad in his working attire. There is something whimsical about his expression, with those big, dark and optimistic eyes and the faint smile on his lips. The stark red background forms a nice contrast to the blue of h...

Her art revolves around two main topics: Human Beings and Nature. Within these boundaries she created a rich and diverse oeuvre. Luscious color handled with a decisive "paw", in an expressionistic style in the portraits and the nudes. But then again tender and poetic in her Nature paintings with light blue and pinkish hues. Sometimes one senses a slight influence of Chagall, Beckmann or Rouault, but her very personal pictorial language always prevails. Faces are often in blue and green, nudes in glorious gold and orange. Her paintings of Mother and Child are proof of great tenderness. Her Portraits show profound knowledge of the psychology of mankind and her many Landscapes are small jewels of insight in the secrets of nature. Ragnit von Mosch traveled extensively all her life with long stays in the USA, five years in Tuscany, Italy and last but not least 10 years in Maui, Hawaii. Here is a woman painter who is very sure of her painterly means and the message she wants to convey with her work. Her work can be found in many public and private collections throughout the world.
