ABOUT THE ARTWORK

What inspired me to create this painting is activities of loaders of commercial goods around major markets in lagos, this guys always lurk around markets with there wheelbarrows waiting for potential customers who needs to carry a heavy loads of goods they just purchased in the market to the nearest bus stop, sometimes they run to approach a coming public bus to check if there's a load to be carried, they're are always on the lookout for potential customers. I hope the viewer of the painting will reflect and think about the hustle some people have to go through to make a living. I choose Acrylic for this particular painting because of the spontaneity of the medium which makes me work a bit faster.
