Kaplanoğlu's works have been transformed into a story about cultural and historical experiences from Central Asia, Hittites from time to time, Seljuks from time to time, Ottoman times from time to time, and even from all cultures in Anatolia without religion, language and race. reflections are seen from an accepted, accepted cultural accumulation.

In his recent works, he links his return to the ruins and stories in the war environment with his grandfather, the grandson of Mustafa, who was blinded by his country at the age of 16, and the memories he heard from him. He approaches the stories, memories, and memories of his environment, which has experienced war, poverty and reality, as a representation of a generation that shapes his life
