About The Artwork

painting is executed in oil and acrylic on wood with spatula and brush, also on it were attached two pieces of paper with the eyes, the set gives the work a strong lyrical surrealist. the interpretation of the work is provided by the body metaphor understood as the house we live on earth. This house is carried by a cloud, icon par excellence of what is transitory, the abstract space where the house and the cloud float represents our soul, which is a unique thing with the space-time dimension. The work is an invitation to transcend the corporeal dimension to lean toward a more spiritual dimension. I hope that the work will give positive vibrations.

I believe that painting is mute poetry(in the words of Leonardo Da Vinci) , music for the eyes, caress and delight for the soul. My paintings do not dwell on a single subject but they are all inseparably linked by the same poetic. The central theme of my work is always life in its facets. Whether it's a landscape be it abstract or not, the focus of the work is always a reference to an emotional state, so the only real permanent theme in my work are the emotions. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Paolo Cervino was born in Brindisi in 1974.
