an der höchte Painting

painting background, silver acrylic paint on four wooden panels. image oil, acrylic and ink. large format painting. the title of the painting 'an der höchte' is the name of the lane where I discovered this mound of branches, twigs, leaves and needles after the foresters had felled trees as they do every year in january. needless to say, by now this mound has also been tidied away and young saplings have probably replaced the felled trees. so if you should happen to walk along this lane 'an der höchte' and find this exact spot the scenario will be a completely different one. with this series of paintings I reflect on our perception of reality and in this case question the validity of my own painting as a reflection of reality or whether it is just a fleeting moment of incidental grace...
