About The Artwork
altered children's book. The original story of the small book for children is placed at the end of the Second World War and deals with the experience of a little girl in Germany - a mix of anxiety, hope and ideological confusion. Published in the GDR, the book itself is an ideological artefact produced with fear and hope. By altering the book with a photograph and mark making I added another layer of transformation. The book itself is 21cm x 15 cm large. It is mounted on creme coloured quality cardboard and comes in a white wooden object frame. Please conctact me for more pictures!
