About The Artwork
Symbolic and narrative painting. Contemporary and Minimalist art. Acrylic on Canvas. This is one of the IV paintings from the "cosmos.moon.earth.life" collection. I prefer a dynamic style of painting. In this particular collection I worked with representing lizards as symbol of life and geometric forms in patterns as a symbol of space and place, hence why this worked can be described as not only narrative but also symbolic. The viewer can imagine any planet of our enormous universe, where life has entered. All the concepts of these works were born in a meditative state, so they carry a spiritual message with a calming and soothing feeling within. The patterns of the geometric forms were done with a palette knife while the reptiles where painted in detail with a brush. Golden and silver color paint is quite present giving a special touch to the aesthetic of the work. Dimensions: 80 x 100 cm - 31.4 x 39.3 inches Medium: Acrylic paint (Amsterdam by Royal Talens) on high end cotton Canvas. Dinara was born to a family of art collectors and since a young age was surrounded by painters, sculptors, musicians and film directors. This kind of environment influenced the artist immensely in her sensibility as a painter and in her development of artistic taste. Dinara's work can be described as narrative abstractionism in which she explores the form, texture, patterns with figurative objects and movement - giving a sense of an underlying synchronicity and a story narration. The emotional and spiritual state in which she creates her work are very important to her because that feeling precisely, drives her to the process of creation. She had her first solo show exhibition in 1993 with bioenergetic paintings and from there on had different projects. Her main project being "Music on Canvas" that consists of a painting coming to life through the sound of music, resulting in a final piece created not only by the artist's hand but mainly by the rhythm and melody of the music that was played during the performance. G Dindarova made several performances and exhibitions around the world, like Portugal, France, Russia and USA. The painter/author currently works and resides in Lisbon, Portugal.
