Image No. 6 (horizontal, format: 120 × 100 cm) is a completely achromatic work, based on the game of textures, various shades of white, gray and black. Despite the lack of color, the whole work is quite contrasting. Observing the picture, you can see that there are clearly marked four separate zones, two upper and lower zones with a clearly lighter central part. At the top of the picture you can see a light gray, thin strip that is the result of not painting this part of the work black. Thanks to this measure, the texture of the upper and lower part of the image gently merge with each other, constituting a continuum. Both of these fragments are painted impasto, with a spatula and paints with resin fillers. The upper, lighter strip adds some lightness, but also provides a strong contrast to the dark bottom. Moving further to the bottom of the picture, we can see clearly that part of the impasto painting done with a spatula, goes into a part which is painted by strong brush strokes, also has a certain gradation - in the upper part it is much thicker and stronger. The further downwards - the texture loses on density and aggression. Seemingly, both parts of the image, the upper and lower, differ slightly from each other, but I will refer to the element of water again. By painting this picture, I translated the observations from nature to the language of art. Imagine the surface of a lake.
