About The Artwork
I paint using my synesthesia, and I do not tell buyers what I meant for the piece to convey, since the conversations with folx about what they think the piece means is much more rewarding. I call my work “liminal abstract” because those who enjoy my work will find little memories or symbols that they are drawn to within each piece. I choose to paint with acrylic paint and massive amounts of water, because the chaos of water results more in what I see as a synesthete. This was a piece I created when healing over the breakdown a relationship I desperately needed to be over. I wanted to convey the undertones of hope and growth out of an incredibly chaotic emotional state.
