About The Artwork

In my entire body of work, I think about the construct of time a lot and I try to find ways to depict aspects and ideas of time, timing or the passing of time and how it affects us in our lives as humans. The fact that our time is limited and often timing can turn out beautifully or disastrous makes life so unique. I also like my paintings to be quiet, in some way silent and like a frozen moment. They should evoke an energy or feeling in the viewer that connects him or her to my vision and attempt on catching a sense of time in a painting. Disclaimer: Please note that I try my very best to upload images that match the actual colors in the painting. However there might be slight differences due to individual settings on your phone/monitor. Also slight color differences in the pictures can be caused by using natural lighting or artificial lights (flash).

Trying to catch a sense of time on canvas. My work is a painted collage which is fueled by colors and shapes of memory and those inspirational elements that trigger the deeply felt urge to be painted. I think about the construct of time a lot and I try to find ways to depict aspects and ideas of time, timing or the passing of time and how it affects us in our lives as humans. Making art is like diving deep into this otherworldly, mysterious parallel universe, where everything is possible. My paintings feel like a souvenir from this place, they are a proof that I have been there.
