Hello! My name is Christina. I am an artist from Ukraine. I grew up in Bobruisk, Belarus, in a military family where I often had to move from one place to another. And this influenced my creative path. I entered the university as an architect-urban planner in 2007. Since 2013, I have been studying in the workshops of Ukrainian artists. And since 2017, I have been participating in exhibitions in Ukraine. I am painting all the time. At the beginning of the war, I was forced to leave my home in Ukraine and, with my six-year-old son, I had to seek refuge in another country. And we found it in Germany. This is where my paintings take on new meaning. They are completely original and each canvas is unique. I love the creative process and I like to work with oil paints, using both classical and modern painting methods. Most often I paint flowers and landscapes. As an artist, I explore not only the paintings, but also the space in which it is located. the study of nature is that beauty that is near, and respecting what surrounds us, slowing down and reconnecting with it. Through my work, I try to connect something from the outside world with the inside. When I studied nature and flowers, I realized that their language is the same all over the world, it is accessible and understandable to everyone. The symbolic meaning of each flower is passed down from our ancestors and performs the same function as a talisman or protection. And painting is for me that magical key that connects the outer and inner worlds.
