ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Like a happening, the image is constructed, covered, put through painterly processes until a stopping point is felt. Colors, stencils, conte, rubbed caran d'ache, acrylic as wash and heavy body, actively interact on the surface. My inspirations are abstract expressionist artists, urban walls in Barcelona, Montreal, Halifax and on the Isle of Man. Light in nature informs the space and feelings as the work grows.
