About The Artwork

The painting depicts a plot from ancient Scandinavian mythology, where Thor catches a sea serpent, the son of Loki. Mythology is very interesting to me, as it reflects the vision of the world by primitive man.     European civilization has two roots: 1. Antiquity of the Mediterranean of southern Europe. 2. Scandinavia, where the Saxons, Franks and Germans came from. Therefore, it is very interesting for me to feel what the ancient German felt. That is why I am working on the subject of mythology.
