ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'(slow down) you move too fast 2' is a pair of paintings, each standing alone, but working together. The surface of one is collaged. The paint applied fast and intuitively. The colour is bright but can be fugitive. The nature of the neon paint makes it hard to photograph and reproduce. This is part of the improvisatory nature of the work. The title is taken from a Simon and Garfunkel song, randomly allocated, but over time becoming integral to the work.
