solitude 1 Painting

this painting ''SOLITUDE'' was inspired by the experiences that i face during this pandemic period. am trying to question what is happening especially the many restrictions that the government has imposed. My main aim is to provoke the viewer to question about the social realities in our society today. my choice of medium depend greatly on the subject but i like working with acrylics due to its flexibility of drying fast.the subject matter as the newspaper wrapping is a representation of us and our relationship to the environment .the style and idea of using typography gives me a voice or medium to convey my ideas to the viewer it also allows me to pose bold commentaries.
