About The Artwork
My first painting. I had gone to the studio of an Icelandic painter with my class from school. his studio stenched of strong paint and it affected my thought process, instead of listening to the lecture, I stared at this naive painting of a red mountain, a painting by Icelandic eccentric artist Stórval. There was something with that work that just clicked with my eyes, brain, and feelings. It told me a bold story about the landscape, a story that I would like to tell as well. This visit put me in the mindscape that I should take up a brush, and just start painting, and I did. The next day I was looking at this finished painting.
