About The Artwork

Under the coral wave, brains of fish, ray and a profusion of life, from where we come from. Ublo is a series of small formats. This series allows me to open other visual, sensory or emotional doors. They all have a visual link, while letting the viewer enter his own imagination, his own story. I started this series in 2015 before arriving in New Caledonia, premonitory ? I used professionnal watercolors Winsor and Newton, Sennelier, Daniel Smith mixed with Pocas and varnish on Arches 300 gr paper. The artwork is signed on the front and provided with a certificate of authenticity. If you'd like any more information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Aurélia DUCERF was born near Paris in 1970. She obtained her DNSEP diploma from the European School of Art of Brittany (Rennes) in 1996. Interested by typography, sign and new technologies, she is first oriented in this sector by working as a designer ux / artistic director. In 1997/99 she works on research projects of CCETT oriented human machine interface. At the beginning of the internet she creates the junction of the print communication to the digital transition and sets up a coherent multichannel image for large groups, while creating software libraries, user interfaces, cms. She wins a prize for the best multimedia design at the 2002 nanteic show During this period she continues to do painting, illustration, and research projects with associations (especially on intellectual disability and deafness). She intervened at the University of Paris X in 2001 at the JaCoB seminar on "text / image reports in multilingual documents" (MODYCO laboratory, FRE / UMR 7114 CNRS / Paris X ); as well as in 2003 at the School of Art of Rennes "Specificity and nature of the production of information on the Internet" DESS "Creators of artistic and cultural multimedia products". In 2005, she returned to her first pictorial research. : first written signs of man; the emotion of the gesture, the improvisation. This research of ten years allowed her to sit down his pictorial research and brought it to New Caledonia where she has lived at the moment. In particular, his watercolors tend to question the viewer about his interiority, like one or more meditative breaths. While guiding the eye, it leaves this part of opening or everyone can read or find it. The series of "ublos" and "ilots" are like an internal call of the cells of the body; to what they crossed centuries ago. A coral world, at the beginning of life. Sometimes detailed at the limit of the illustration, sometimes going towards abstraction, the eye navigates graphically and emotionally. Some of his paintings were premonitory.
