Art Description

Painting: Oil, Pencil, Chalk and Pastel on Wood.

the painting is in mixed media (all kinds of pencils, markers and pastels, a photo transfer and oil paint) on plywood which is framed with an expensive wooden frame. The Painting has a professional and strong suspension (see picture). The Painting is quite heavy and ships safely in an extra built export box.

i work in mixed media and combine gestical painting with a sampling of images which i transfer via a medium. i find that image in the world wide web and i use it as a starting point to get my idea across or just a an inspiration. often i fully overpaint it. in this case a picture of a fully overload boat in the mediterranean sea captured my imagination. i combined that with images from falling water, the architonic masterpiece from frank lloyd just because it looks fantastic, and a starting point to create a green landscape against the feeling of ocean, water, chaos and roll all those nature "Vibes" into one. this painting deals with the contrasts and with the coincidence of a beautiful and mystical world and that everything good or bad happens in that same setting. i use quotes from an african ju ju witchcraft chant record, from the last poets and frank ocean is the wild card for a new strong and sensible black urban community self-conception. i am interested in other cultures and backgrounds, everything is connected which each other. past and present, imperalism, globilazation, white and black, red and yellow.
Sorry for my bad english, hope you get my point....
