Scott Benites (b. 1991) is a passionate artist whose fascination with art began at a young age. Growing up in New York City's Upper West Side, he found inspiration in the city's architecture, natural scenery, and the vibrant energy of urban life. His art is characterized by its quirkiness, uniqueness, and gritty aesthetic, often imbued with social-political undertones. Many of his distinct pieces tell intimate stories of the streets of New York City. With a goal to enrich people's lives through art and creativity, Scott aims to make art accessible and bring about a positive impact. His love for art deepened after attending after-school classes at the MoMa, eventually leading him to be accepted at the Art Institute of Boston. Seeking further knowledge in design, he pursued higher education at Pratt Institute. Scott later earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, graduating magna cum laude from Lehman College. As a native New Yorker with a background of Latino heritage, Scott's artwork often reflects his neighborhood and personal experiences. His main subjects revolve around cityscapes, capturing local views and showcasing the architectural marvels that define New York. He has a particular fascination with the Manhattan skyline, utilizing the versatility of oil paint to create both gentle wash paintings and textured impasto pieces. Scott's exceptional artwork has garnered recognition not only within his community but also among art enthusiasts worldwide. His commitment to quality and his unique artistic voice have made a lasting impact on viewers near and far“My goal is to enhance people’s lives through art, creativity.
