My name is Julia Googe. I was born into a family of lovers and collectors of art, my grandmother is an artist, and from an early age I was surrounded by art in one form or another. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember - this is one of my favorite activities since childhood, my way of expressing my admiration and amazement with life around me. In addition, drawing as an art form has always fascinated me with its absolute freedom to create. After all, this is an opportunity to embody any feelings, ideas, emotions, new images, fantastic creatures and imaginary worlds. I feel pure magic of creation through painting. Right now I live in Russia, Saint-Peyersburg, before that I spent significant part of my life in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Germany and India. All these places carry different mentality, ways of thinking and expressing ideas, different views on beauty and creativity. Touching the culture, everyday life of these countries allowed me to expand the boundaries of my own perception of the world. I didn't choose a single genre or style, because now I feel no need for this, I am inspired by absolute freedom in creativity. And in the same way I approach creating paintings: one moment I'm captured by an image or an idea, and I refine it for a long time in my head before transferring it to the canvas, and in another instant I feel an irresistible urge to paint. And I allow myself to watch my hand with a brush, not trying to control this process with my mind, staying in the creative flow. Why do I paint and sell my paintings at all? It is important for me to share those feelings and ideas that I embody in my paintings. I strive to convey my admiration for life and the beauty of the world — to other people. And wish my paintings can breeng you the brightest, most vivid experiences filled with joy and love for life.
