About The Artwork

depicts the state of Africans' developing countries. No good water enough to go round the communities, while governments are sometimes helpless in conserving water due to political/natural disaster. it tells the story of how the little reserved water is been wasted by some minorities in the society.

Born in Ibadan Oyo State, Nigeria. Mr Olatunde attended St. Thomas Primary School, Immanuel College High School and The Polytechnic Ibadan where he studied fine art as a career and painting as a profession. He further trained under two professional masters (Samson John and Peter Ogunrinde) who influenced his art in the areas of oil painting, linoleum etching, graphic designs, textile design, syntex stone sculpting, tempera painting and printmaking . His uniqueness as an artist has been expressed through beautiful and mature works of art. His pursuit of a professional career in art is evident in the exhibitions in galleries and open spaces in Nigeria. Some of which were in IITA International House, Artist Market, Tunde Odunlade gallery and in Alliance Francise, the French Cultural Centre in Ibadan. He also has written papers to his credit which are yet to be published. His works are in public and private collections. In his words,"Art makes me feel connected to something unique. The use of movement and semi-abstract images implies energy and space beyond the boundaries of my canvas. Colours and textured surfaces speak of my love for nature and my native country with her untamed beauty.'' Art translates into explosive and mythical images of time and nature sometimes expressed in mixed-media or pure pigments on canvass and also in graphical forms on the computer. This is philosophical in its symbols and images as it brings vivid memories.
