About The Artwork
I have created this work for art project collaboration wth fashion dedicated to 20-th anniversary of Ukrainian Fashion Week. ama-san are Japan’s professional female free-divers and some of the most resilient women in the country (if not the world). Free-diving is a 5,000-year tradition in Japan (possibly longer), and its practitioners have developed specialized skills. The ama-san are blessed with lungs of steel and seasoned by years of experience. My picture was based on fashion clothes collaction of ukrainian designer Yana Chervinska. How i see her spring-summer collaction dedicated to this old stories of japanese swimers.
