About The Artwork
Inspiration This painting was inspired by this view that I came across one evening in the summer. The sea was calm, the sun was setting and there was a lovely play of light on the water. This painting is acrylic on exhibition quality wood panel. All sides of the painting, including the back are sealed with clear gesso and the sides and the front have been sanded. The sides of the painting are unpainted so you can see the wood. The painting is made with artist quality, archival materials and should last a life time. The painting should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from areas of heavy moisture like bathrooms. The painting should be kept at room temperature because large fluctuations in temperature can cause the wood to crack. Wipe carefully with a slightly damp cloth to clean or lightly vacuum dust.
