When I was drawing this work in my head I heard a passage from the Autumn of Alexander Pushkin. Sad time! Eye charm! Your farewell beauty is pleasant to me - I love the lush nature of wilting, In scarlet and gold clad forests In their canopy of the wind, noise and fresh breath, And the heavens are covered with a hazy wavy And a rare ray of the sun, and the first frosts, And a distant gray-haired winter threat.
