Big Dreams Painting

As youngsters, we are big dreamers, wanting to be someone great when we grow up. A professional athlete, courageous firefighter, hero police officer, life saving doctor, and even president. We may never become who we dream to be. The wonderful part of it all is, we can always have "Big Dreams." Approximately 50 hours of painting work went into completing this piece. Through art, I tell stories where words alone cannot. With a simple title and an image, art continues speaking where words stop. It leaves more to the imagination and open to interpretation while granting a different experience for each individual. I choose to paint on large canvases with my airbrush. Unlike the brush, the airbrush applies the paint while never touching the surface. I am able to paint broad patterns and also tight details. In the end, the shapes and patterns come together to create the image and my vision. The entire painting is freehand work with no use of stencils. Every stroke and pattern of paint is carefully applied freehand. I am inspired by the stories I am able to put on a canvas. I am a storyteller. My canvas is my page. The colors and composition are my words. This is a large original acrylic on canvas painting finished in 2014. Dimensions are 24" x 36" x .75." This is a one-of-a-kind original work of art. The painting is done on a canvas and is stretched around wood frames and stapled. The acrylic painting does not include a frame. Pictures are for display purposes only.
