Francis Bacon, the painter, said in an interview that he believes in deeply ordered chaos. So do I. I think that accidents in painting are often the most beautiful and make it all worthwhile. Allowing the paint as much freedom as possible, collaborating with gravity and not much else - I find this very satisfying.
