Ding Dong the Witch is Dead Painting

My paintings are inspired by the need to feel good by escaping the outside world to my inner world of fun, magic and peace. The title is taken from the dialogue in the classical movie The Wizard of Oz. The witch represents fears, and once the fears are faced, a renewal of faith comes into play. With all obstacles removed, the animals and spirit world can be seen playing and there is an essence of fun and lightness. There is a magical world that exists around us that can be seen and felt once one enters into a state of relaxation and inner peace. The images in the painting appeared on their own after i placed paint on the canvas. I enhanced the spirit world by outlining them in black paint.
