"Dreaming of San Juan" Acrylic on canvas 18x24 inches Andrea Bijou used to live full time in Puerto Rico and still spends a lot of time in San Juan. Her artwork is reflective of her environment and her emotional growth. There is a dualistic quality dancing in her work; a coupling of opposites showcasing contrast of light and dark. She uses her creative practice as a therapeutic outlet for early childhood trauma. Andrea is an advocate for abuse survivors and is working towards her Master’s in counseling.
