Born : England 1962Stoborough DorsetGrew up around the Dorset Coast, always had a fascination with landscape and have always been very creative. It wasn't until I moved to Canada that I really pursued my artistic aspirations, stepping away from the 9-5 grind. The BC landscape has been a great friend away from home.Growing up in the UK, Angela was always busy being creative. She developed her strengths in her first self-employment position after highschool. Angela owned and operated a small restaurant and then expanded to two restaurants. Culinary arts have always played a strong role in Angela's life, as you will notice when viewing the, What's for Dinner? Series. The two main influences in her art are the landscapes that surround her and the food she encounters. Angela attended Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and graduated in Fine Arts in the class of 1999. Since then she has been building a portfolio of art, creating her own style with lush colours and bold mark making. Angela was employed at The Neighbourhood Art Gallery in White Rock from 2002 to 2005. She taught all genres of art to: children, youth and adults. Angela continues to enter competitions. Her work, Mirror Image, was juried in the Surrey Art Gallery in 2004. In 2005, Angela operated Cyandezign gallery in Tinsletown Mall, Vancouver, BC. Angela has owned and operated her Cyandezign company for eight years. Currently Angela instructs privately from her home on weekends. The balance between painting for gallery shows and teaching is challenging and rewarding. Angela will continue this pursuit while working toward her Masters of Fine Art.
