About The Artwork
This is the first painting of the concept "understanding the evolution of classical music in 18th and 19th century South India. The painting depicts an everyday scene of a typical south Indian Brahmin household where a few priests are immersed in peace and meditation. The painting is not a very detailed one, as I have employed impressionistic approach to paint it .The background has paintings of Lord Krishna and Durga - two very prominent deities of Indian culture.
