A reflection on the evolution of lines and a tribute to Keith Haring and Piet Mondrian:

Some moment I became aware that Keith Haring and Piet Mondrian used the same artistic language: clear monochrome colours, clear shape and black lines. Both ways are very similar, yet fundamentally different. They both used the same tools but came up with diametrically opposite results. Mondrian explored the world of squares and lines, Haring digged deep in the unconscious and came up with his very symbolic and significant personal primitivism.

To me it seemed very natural to quote both artists and yet find my own new way. Blending the styles creates a dynamic and refreshing new perspective. Besides the artistic dimension it gives a smile to me which I hope I can pass on.
